2003 Bentley Continental R Mulliner Widebody

The Bentley Continental series was in production for just over 10 years in three different model formats. The Continental T, the Continental R and the lesser-known Continental SC were built to order on a brand new production line at the Bentley factory in Crewe. Just under 500 Continentals were produced for the UK market.

This Continental R Mulliner, Chassis number #SCBZB25E72CH01787, was commissioned for build during September 2002 and, after approximately 1,150 man-hours, it was delivered to Michael Powles Bentley of Leicester prior to being first registered in March 2003. This 'Conti R Mulliner', as they are affectionately known, was one of the last 10 cars built on the production line at Crewe. Sadly as the last Continental R was being built the line was being dismantled behind it to make way for the new generation of Bentley Grand Touring Coupes. The end of an era.

Leaving Crewe finished in Sapphire Black with a Cotswold Hide interior, MH03 SGY has had just three custodians from new with the last taking ownership in 2005, during which time a full main dealer Bentley service schedule has been maintained with all bills and invoices present and correct, together with a full book pack and copy of the individual build sheet for the car. The recorded mileage at time of inspection was an incredibly low 23,808 miles !
