DESCRIPTION

  • Supplied new by H. R. Owen of London on 26/10/2007 to the first of three owners
  • Finished in Nero with contrasting Crema leather interior and black leather Daytona electric Recaro seats
  • Specified with a carbon fibre steering wheel and trim, Scuderia Shields, six-piece luggage and carbon-ceramic brakes
  • The first owner kept the car for just two months and our vendor bought it from the second in 2018
  • The service book shows 12 service stamps and the history file includes general maintenance receipts
  • Fitted with a Ferrari tracker and benefiting from professionally applied PPF to the front, bonnet, side skirts and mirrors
  • Offered to auction from a private collection with a fresh MOT and some 24,800 miles (atoc) on the odometer
  • Perhaps the peak of modern Ferrari design, the GTB’s coachwork uniquely combines understatement and aggression. A civilised supercar for the discerning enthusiast

The Ferrari 599 succeeded its predecessor, the 575, in the summer of 2006 and brought the front-engined V12 Grand Tourer into the modern age. Whereas the 550 and 575, even at their introduction, always felt like modern classics, the 599 was every inch a new-age Ferrari. The all-aluminium chassis, F1 SuperFast gearbox, F1-Trac stability and traction control, magnetic semi-active dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes, all wrapped in aggressive, aero-optimised bodywork with minimal overhangs and maximum presence was a mission statement. Top billing, though, went to the engine - a lightly modified version of the Enzo's 6-litre V12 with a mighty 611bhp at 7600rpm, endowing Ferrari's new series-production flagship with truly sensational performance with 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 205mph. Of the 3,500 Ferrari 599 GTB F1 Fioranos produced globally, the United Kingdom’s share, as is the norm with right-hand drive Ferraris, amounted to under 10% of the total production. Online resources confirm that there are currently 301 examples registered in the UK.

This delightful 599 GTB Fiorano F1 was supplied new by H. R. Owen of London on the 26th October 2007 with few option boxes left unticked. The Nero paintwork is complemented by Crema leather door cards, centre console, headlining, rear bench wall and bottom half of the dashboard, all stitched in dark blue, and the rare combination of black leather “Daytona” Recaro electric seats, black carpeting and top roll. The driver has the benefit of a lighter cabin and the practically of dark seats and carpets. Further options include both a two-piece luggage set for the rear bench and a four-piece set for the boot at a cost of over £6,000. Ordered too were Scuderia Shields, parking sensors and ‘monolithic’ 20in alloy wheels. The all-important carbon-ceramic braking system cost £11,495 and we can supply a full list of the options via email, together with service and maintenance summary.

The first owner was to travel some 500 miles in just two months before the car was bought by the second owner on 19th December 2007 who covered 20,282 miles before our vendor purchased it on 3rd October 2018. Stabled alongside a Porsche 911 930 Turbo and other exotica, the car, whilst exercised regularly, was used sparingly and the current mileage at the time of cataloguing is some 24,800 miles. The car benefits from a professionally applied paint protection film to the front, bonnet, side skirts and mirrors and a Ferrari tracker is fitted. The service book shows eleven stamps by Meridien Modena and the car was last serviced at 24,295 miles in July 2020 by Ferrari specialist Emblem Sports Cars of Poole Dorset, for a total of twelve stamps. Supplied to auction with a fresh MOT, aforementioned luggage set, tool kit, book pack and a history file brimming with receipts.
