2012 BMW M3 (E93) Convertible

There had been expensive, limited edition M-Series models before the M3 but it was the latter's arrival in 1985 that brought BMW Motorsport's premier 'M-Power' performance brand within the reach of less wealthy enthusiasts. The original (E30) four-cylinder M3 resulted from BMW's need for a car suitable for 'Group A' racing, the rules stipulating that 5,000 should be made in the first year of production. The next and successive generations all used inline six-cylinder engines until the arrival of the E90 Series in 2007 brought with it a switch to a V8. Coupé, convertible and saloon versions were made, all powered initially by BMW's 4-litre S65 V8 producing 414bhp (420PS). As well as the first V8, the E90 Series was also the first M3 to offer a 7-speed Getrag DCT gearbox as an option. When equipped with the DCT 'box, the M3 could race to 100kph (62mph) in only 4.6 seconds.

PF62 XKY arrived on our shores during late 2017 from Jersey and was duly registered on 1st December 2017. Finished in Interlagos Blau Metallic with Silverstone extended leather, this stunning ultra low-mileage M3 was first registered on 27th October 2012 by Jacksons C.I Ltd of Jersey and had its running-in service completed by them on 18th December at 897 miles. The next two services were carried out by Auto Care Ltd, specialists in Jersey, at 2,197 miles on 16th November 2014 and 5,278 miles on 3rd March 2017. The car then had its first UK-service by Sytner Leicester at 6,363 miles on 8th June 2018, its fourth service by Sytner Coventry at 7,496 miles on 22nd May 2020, the fifth by Stratstones on 11th January 2023 and most recent on 11th January 2024 by North Oxfordshire BMW at 8,228 miles. This last full service amounted to just over £1,000 and included the rear differential service and a fresh MOT. This stunning E90 M3 has had a cosseted life without doubt and no expense has been spared. Specified to a high level, this 8,000-mile car is supplied with its original factory book pack containing the manual, service book and supplementary handbook, five old MOT Certificates and a selection of service invoices which correspond with the service stamps.

With just over 8,300 miles on the clock, this beautiful M3 is a superb example of the hugely competent E90 M3, undoubtedly a modern classic. Superbly presented in a fabulous colour, cleverly engineered folding roof, very well specified from new, and an enviable service history, there can't be many boxes left to tick.
