Seven minutes 32 seconds. The time it took this incredible saloon car to navigate the world's most notorious circuit, Nürburgring Nordschleife. That time broke the current saloon car record giving Alfa instant bragging rights amongst manufacturers of high-performance saloons and the subsequent International publicity attached to the limited-edition Nurburgring Giulia rendered it an instant cult-car. With no small input from their Marketing Department, Alfa decided to build 108 examples to correspond with the number of years Alfa Romeo has been making cars so it was always going to be a rare car, even rarer in right-hand drive with only 12 earmarked for the UK.

Over the standard road car, the Nürburgring edition boasted a plethora of upgrades and extras, justifying the original retail price of ú82,000. It is powered by Alfa Romeo's famous 510hp 2.9-litre 6 V 90°-cylinder Bi-Turbo engine which, thanks to the extensive use of aluminium and carbon fibre, is remarkably light and retardation is courtesy of bespoke carbon-ceramic brake discs.
