Remarks
Extremely presentable, although an older restoration the paintwork is evenly matched all over, it is very bright and shiny with virtually no rust bubbles or signs of body filler. The panels are very straight and true, very few marks the worst a tiny mark on the boot lid which has been touched in. Being critical the paintwork would benefit from a detailed cut and polish certainly no painting required. The brightwork is all good and does not require any attention. The folding roof is a mohair soft top black with red piping and is as new.

Remarks
The interior is very clean and presentable, seats and dash top black leather with red piping with a complimenting mohair soft top. The dashboard was removed some years ago as part of the restoration and professionally restored correctly painted with the factory finish wrinkle paint and is as new. The seats show use certainly no rips or tears simply wrinkles as leather does. The seats have headrests to add to the comfort of driving, can easily be changed to the correct period seats if desired. Overall it is absolutely fine and a comfortable place to be.

Remarks
The V8 3.5 petrol engine is the correct option with twin carbs and engineered to fit under the original standard bonnet a very nice touch. The engine was completely rebuilt at the time of the restoration and conversion. Strong engine, sounds extremely sweet high torque and plenty of power, lighter than the original 1800 cast iron series B engine. Fitted with correct MGB V8 stainless steel complete exhaust system sounds amazing.
Transmission

Drive-Shaft:
Remarks
Five speed gearbox fitted, all the gears select perfectas they should. The gearbox has a whine which is not so noticeable when driving with the roof down It was the best option at the time, today however there are better options such as Mazda MX5. It works fine and is very engaging too.

Wheels & Tyres:
Remarks
Drives extremely well, a real joy there are no dreadful knocks, bangs or creaks! The MGB feels really well balanced, handles nice and stops in a straight line sharply if required. The steering is light and positive, points where it should. The clutch pedal is nice and light to with plenty of feel to the bite.
Electrics
Minor:
Major:
Remarks
The electric wiring was done professionally at the time, it is very neat and certainly not a messy abundance of wires. It is very basic which is a huge plus as there is no ecu or complicated electrics to go wrong.
Vehicle History
Remarks
Given the age of the MGB she certainly gets noticed as an extremely nice example. There is a comprehensive history file showing the work and maintenance it has had over the years, you can clearly see the motor car has been much loved, enjoyed and pampered. (It’s special) lots of previous mots and older registration documents too. First registered 16th June 1967 an early U.K. MGB chassis GHN3 the mileage today is 67,898 miles past mots substantiated approximately 700 miles per year on average quite possibly genuine given the nice condition.
Restoration Notes
Genuine U.K. low mileage original 1967 MGB Roadster first registered 16th June 1967 treated to a very thoughtful and expensive restoration throughout, completed late 1980’s and tastefully professionally converted to a 3.5 V8 petrol and married with a five speed gearbox and suitable driveline. Restoration included various body panels, sills, wings and new doors, painted in Tartan Red inside and out! The brakes were upgraded and the engine was rebuilt before fitting, a no expense approach taken to the restoration and the conversion you would think it was factory. There is a comprehensive history file which warrants the various work, parts and maintenance over the years.
