SUMMARY
Comprising two 1/12th scale (measuring 40cm in length) Tamiya models meticulously constructed with intricate detailing exposing the internal workings of the cars driven by Rene Arnoux and Jean Pierre Jabouille during the era of turbochargers and ground-effect.
DESCRIPTION
The Renault RE20 is a Formula One car raced by the Renault team in the 1980 season and was designed by Francois Castaing and Michel Tétu utelising ground effect aerodynamics. It was powered by a 1.5L turbocharged Renault Gordini EF1 engine, which by 1981 was producing a reported 520 bhp,roughly 50 more than the 3.0L Cosworth DFV V8 still in wide use at the time. The driving line-up for the all French team was made up at the time entirely of French drivers, Jean-Pierre Jabouille and Rene Arnoux. The Renault RE20 achieved three Grand Prix wins during the 1980 season. Arnoux won both the Brazilian and South African races while Jabouille was the winner of the Austrian Grand Prix.
The custom built display case dimensions are 40cm x 46.5cm x 21cm.

Any cars not collected by 12 noon on Monday 27th February will be taken to EM Rogers storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 + VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 + VAT per day from the Monday onwards.

Automobilia can be collected from the auction hall on the Sunday or on Monday morning between 9am and 12 noon by prior arrangement. After this time, it can be collected from our offices in Warwickshire or shipped to you at your expense.
