The trials world changed in 1984 when Yamaha introduced the new Monoshock TY250. Having no parts in common with the old 1974-designed TY, the new TY's centrally mounted shock, low seat and longer travel suspension revolutionized trials bike design. The other manufacturers leapt to follow suit, with other monoshock models coming out a year later. Yamaha didn't sponsor top riders but their new TY Monoshock bikes were very successful in club events. Renowned for the rideability and good build quality they soon were winning from club to national level and became the bike of choice.
This c.1984 model is presented in clean condition ready to ride. It's had a little work done to the engine with new gaskets, seals, bearings, etc. and has a talon front disc conversion. The engine sounds really nice with no odd noises and runs and rides well. Overall, the bike is clean and has clearly been well cared for. It's not road registered but is perfect for play or competition.

Vehicles can be collected from The Wing on Monday 2nd August between 9am and 3pm.
Our transport partners, EM Rogers, can assist with collection and delivery. Please contact them on

Any cars not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our EM Rogers storage facility in
Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day from Monday 2nd August onwards.
Motorcycles
Our motorcycle transport partners, Moving Motorcycles, can assist with collection and delivery.

Any motorcycles not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a
fee of £110 plus VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £5 plus VAT per day thereafter.
Automobilia
Automobilia can be collected from The Wing over the weekend or Monday morning between 9am
and midday by prior appointment. After this time it can be collected from our offices in
Warwickshire or shipped to you at your expense.
