DESCRIPTION

  • Developed by Douglas at the start of WW1 for dispatch riders, being light and fairly quick was soon to become a favourite
  • Two-speed clutchless gears, front and rear brakes, reliable and easy to maintain in the field
  • This 1914 example was restored from a 'barn find' by its current owner 20 years ago to its current condition
  • Maintains most of its original features including its acetylene light kit and benefits from a recent magneto rebuild
  • Not used for a few years so may require some recommissioning before use
  • Small history file containing a dating letter, handwritten info sheet and its V5C
  • Original leather drive belt has been replaced for a more usable V-belt
  • Great Pioneer or Banbury Run machine

Any motorcycles not collected by 12pm on Monday 15th May will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a fee of £110 plus VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day thereafter.
