DESCRIPTION
- During 1916, the Hudson Super Six set a number of records, establishing a new best time for the Transcontinental San Francisco-New York run, a new Pikes Peak record, a stock (production) chassis speed record of 102.53mph (with a competition body) and a new stock chassis 24-hour mark, set at Daytona Beach
- The secret of the Hudson's success was its advanced four-bearing 4.7-litre engine, large valves and efficient porting. With an output of 76bhp, the Super Six possessed a performance superior to many rivals costing far more. One of the truly outstanding American cars of its day, the Super Six remained in production until 1926
- Imported to the UK in 1998 from the USA , this Series 'O' Super Six was rallied regularly on the IVVCC's Gordon Bennett event up to 2008
- It was purchased by our vendor in 2010 and then entrusted to Chris Shenton Engineering to carry out a restoration to 'raceabout' specification. The car was stripped to the bare chassis and all components rebuilt. A new body was constructed using a steel tubular frame, the interior reupholstered, front wheel brakes added, and the engine refreshed (having been rebuilt in 2007). The car has completed some 200 miles post restoration.
- The engine block has a crack internally and, while the car does run and drive, it does overheat. Consequently work will need to be carried out prior to active use.
- Representing an exciting opportunity to acquire one of the best-performing American cars of the 1920s, SV 7350 is offered with a V5C and invoices for the restoration

Due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the WEC by 1pm on Monday 11th therefore any motor vehicles not collected by this time will be taken to our transport partners storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day.
