Val Page-designed, range-topping Model E Super Sports.
DESCRIPTION
- The new Val Page-designed machines introduced in 1925 consisted of five models, from a Model A side-valve to the range-topping 500cc OHV Super Sports Model E
- The Model E was a 497cc, OHV single with a twin-port head and a 3-speed Sturmey Archer gearbox
- The bikes were very successful and boosted Ariel's sales tenfold by 1927
- This restored example was probably assembled in 1927 and first registered in January 1928
- Extensive history folder containing old RF60 logbooks, old V5C, old MOTs, tax discs, numerous receipts, photographs and newspaper articles
- A well known bike within the VMCC and a previous regular on the Banbury Run
- Restored to its current condition in the 1990s and well maintained since with the same owner since 1999
- Correct numbers and Banbury eligible. Supplied with a sprung pillion seat, not currently fitted
- UK-registered on a current V5C

Any motorcycles not collected by 2pm on Monday 31st July will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a fee of £110 plus VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day thereafter.
