SUMMARY
A super pre-war four-seat tourer sporting an older restoration and ready to enjoy on VSCC and other rallies.
DESCRIPTION
- Following the acquisition of the Sunbeam Talbot Darracq combine by the Rootes Brothers in 1935, subsequent models were to use Hillman and Humber components
- New for 1936, the Talbot Ten was an attractive 10hp model available as a rakish Sports Tourer, with coachwork by Whittingham & Mitchell that inherited the magic body shape of the previous 105
- Believed to be one of just ten remaining Sports Tourer models, this example was fully stripped to the last nut and bolt in 2004
- Fully restored with an engine rebuild to +20thou with new internals. Professionally repainted, re-cored radiator, retrimmed leather interior. Photo and invoice record on file for these extensive works
- Since restoration, the car has been enjoyed by two owners and been very well maintained in that time, covering approximately 10,000 miles
- Recently driven from West Ireland to the UK for the auction without fault or hesitation. Equipped with a Mohair hood, side-screens, hood bag and Tonneau
- A beautifully presented VSCC-eligible sports car which is well proven and ready to enjoy
- Offered with a large history file containing invoices, photographic restoration record, expired MOTs, technical data, original handbook and spares list
