SUMMARY

The 1999 Hurlingham Club Louis Vuitton Classic Concours-winning bike.

DESCRIPTION

  • The original Edward Turner-designed four-cylinder 'superbike' launched in 1930 as a 500c OHC fitted into a conventional Ariel 500cc frame
  • By 1935 it's capacity was 1,000cc with a totally revised engine layout including dry sump, one-piece crankshaft and a Solex carburettor
