SUMMARY
A unique opportunity to acquire an early Series 2 Morris Minor, offered by our generous benefactor Camilla Vickers, whilst helping her wonderful charity, Health:Pitch, with the chance to enjoy a moving, wonderful operatic performance by Francesca Lanza at the venue of your choice*. Offered without Reserve.
DESCRIPTION
- The chance to acquire a 1953 split screen Morris Minor, offered by our generous benefactor Camilla Vickers, whilst helping her wonderful charity, Health Pitch, with the opportunity to enjoy a light-hearted operatic performance with music of your choice by Francesca Lanza at a venue of your choice
- The daring concept of Jukebox Opera is the brainchild of London-based Camilla Vickers who, having experienced the profoundly positive impact that her friend Francesca’s high-quality opera singing had on her mother as she was dying of cancer, set up the Davina Fund so that others could also benefit. From this grew Health:Pitch, a Registered Charity dedicated to restoring human connections by enhancing the lives of those who are vulnerable, isolated or in need of care.
- So, in what we believe is a first at any classic car auction, the buyer of Camilla's Morris Minor will have the option of a bespoke performance by Francesca at your choice of venue be it the local Care Home, a charity fund-raising event, or even a special birthday*
- The car itself is an early Series II split-screen in need of restoration having been parked for a number of years, but with a history file dating back to 1959
- Whilst Camilla's Morris has not been used in recent times it has been put back in running order but will require some recommissioning to use it readily.
- This combined Lot is offered at No Reserve and all proceeds, including Iconic Auctioneers Premiums and Commissions, will be donated in full to Health:Pitch
- In the true spirit of Christmas, long-term supporter of Camilla and Health Pitch, Bruce Jack Wines, have offered to donate six bottles of their award-winning Rioja Tempranillo from Spain to the lucky winner of this very special Lot and, equally generously, John Rogers of our Transport Partner, EM Rogers, will collect the little Morris from London and deliver it to our sale.
Internationally-acclaimed flautist and soprano, Francesca Lanza, will perform a short piece prior to the sale of this Charity Lot at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on December 7th.
* Typically Health:Pitch perform within 20 miles approx of Greater London though they could potentially travel further if travel expenses were covered
