DESCRIPTION
- The Standard Steel S1 finally replaced the R-Type which had been in production, with modifications, for nearly ten years since 1946
- It was a major improvement offering seating for five adults, three extra inches in the wheelbase, more headroom, and an even bigger boot
- This example was despatched to PJ Evans on 12th July 1956 (Bentley confirmation in the file) before being sold new to Pressoturn Ltd. of Royal Leamington Spa who retained it until 1991, then its second owner until 2010 making this a three-owner car from new
- Supplied with an A4 binder containing a plethora of invoices, many from the supplying dealer, its original Bentley Handbook and various items of Bentley paraphernalia
- Over £18,000 appears to have been invested since 2010 keeping this lovely Bentley in top form
- A super old girl, temptingly offered at No Reserve
