SUMMARY

Ex-museum display Villiers-engined James Captain 200.

DESCRIPTION

Based in Greet in Birmingham, James produced a range of small motorcycles using Villiers engines but struggled against the Japanese competition and ceased trading in 1966
They first adopted the 'Captain' name for their 200cc model in 1950 and both the cycle parts and engine would be upgraded periodically as the years passed
This restored example was, up until recently, displayed in a motoring museum in Sussex
Presented in good overall condition but may require recommissioning before road use
Engine turns with compression
Complete with current UK V5C
Nice example of this popular 1950s commuters bike
