SUMMARY
Late 1960 build Morris Mini-Minor sympathetically restored and returned to its original Honolulu Blue.
DESCRIPTION
- A work of true genius, the Mini not only became an icon of the 'Swinging Sixties' but also influenced a whole generation of car designers and is widely considered to be the most influential car of the 20th Century
- When it arrived in August 1959, it was sold and marketed under BMC's two main brand names, Austin and Morris, though apart from the badging, both the Seven and the Mini-Minor were virtually identical.
- On offer here is a first full year of production Morris Mini-Minor with a confirmed Heritage Certificate build-date of 30th Nov - 7th Dec 1960
- Registered as 199 XVB, the car was supplied by BMC dealer Caffyns Ltd to its first owner on 09/01/1961
- We understand that it underwent a sympathetic restoration in 2018 and was beautifully refinished in Honolulu Blue and retrimmed in period correct Tartan Red
- It appears essentially standard apart from the larger aluminium radiator, bottle style screen-wash container, and Cooper wheels
- Currently in rude health, the Mini is 'turn key and button start' according to our vendor
- The demand for external seam, magic wand, floor starter Minis never seems to abate and this super example is sure to be in demand
