Excellent 'Desert Sled' custom Triumph T100 benefitting from a recent recommission.
DESCRIPTION
- Triumph T100 production resumed after WWII and the bikes now came equipped with telescopic front forks and an alloy cylinder head
- Various models were produced until 1973 when dwindling sales from overseas competition saw the end of the line for the T100
- The off-road popularity of these bikes created a complete scene with celebrities like Steve McQueen seen riding similar models
- Owners customised their bikes by taking everything off that wasn't necessary and fitting off-road tyres
- This example is a recreation of those On Any Sunday-style bikes
- T100 frame and T100SS engine, sump guard, off-road tyres, no lights or clocks and straight-through pipes
- Benefitting from a recent recommission and now presented in running order
- UK-registered with a current V5C
- Complete with what is believed to be its original tank and recommission receipt
