1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Ti FIA Race Car

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta was first introduced in 1954 and was built at the Portello factory in Milan. In 1957 the powerful Berlina version, called the Giulietta Ti (Turismo Internazionale) was added to the model line-up. A revised version was debuted at the 1961 Frankfurt Motor Show and was unveiled as the 101 series. The Giulietta used the famous Alfa Romeo Twin Cam all-alloy 1290cc engine mated to the Belina (4 door) body and was a sophisticated package. The engine was very well engineered and equal to many sports designs of the period. It had a large oil capacity which allowed sustained high revs and cast piston liners which ensured a long life. It was truly a Sports sedan with some effective mechanicals like Alfin drums, aluminium differential housing to the rear axle and coil springs. Being compact and light also gave the Giulietta great performance.

Offered today is the ultimate race version of the famous little Giulietta with FIA papers. When our vendor decided he wanted to race one of these he went to Italy to procure this car in 2011. Being, as it was, competitive and developed over the years for numerous events, he picked what he felt was the best car available. The history shows this Alfa had competed at the A1 Ring in Austria in 2003 through to Monza in 2010. This Alfa is completely race ready with all safety items in date. Mechanically it's as good as it gets and ready for many of the prestigious events that are available for FIA racers.
