SUMMARY

Very early, pull handle, three-bearing crankshaft-car looking splendid in a fresh coat of Tartan Red.

DESCRIPTION

  • This is a very early UK-spec 'B' (04/12/1962) and one of just 540 cars built in 1962 for the UK-market
  • Purchased by our vendor around three years ago. The owner prior to him had owned the MG since 1970 with two owners before that
  • Having been in long-term storage, our vendor decided to have the car taken down to bare metal and professionally resprayed in its original Tartan Red
  • Our vendor states 'There was absolutely no rot or sign of any previous repairs. I have never seen one as good. The bumpers and other parts were re-chromed, new rubber door seals and various other ancillaries were renewed, the wheels were blasted and powder-coated, new tyres fitted, a new hood fitted and a new windscreen, as the original was cracked. The interior was in very good condition, all original and just needed a good valet. The engine is original'
  • Supplied with its original RF60 'buff' log book, subsequent V5s, old MOTs, old photos of the car from 1970s and 1980s and a photographic record of the recommissioning
