SUMMARY
A simply remarkable Series 3 Minor Convertible that represents an investment of over £27,000 and it shows.
DESCRIPTION
- According to its BMIHT Factory Record, this Minor was a 948cc Series 3 De Luxe, completed on 11/12/1961 originally finished in Almond Green with a Porcelain Green/Silver Beige interior, fitted with a Pearl Grey hood and despatched to The Ware Garages on 15/12/1961
- It was purchased by our vendor in 2018 from marque specialists who had fully restored and re-trimmed the car and the invoice for £22,700 is in the history file
- He intended to tour Europe with the little Morris and immediately tasked Charles Ware's Minor Centre with fitting a number of upgrades (£4,200)
- These included front disc brakes, front and rear telescopic shock absorbers, an anti-roll bar, alternator, electronic ignition, Halogen headlamps, new Rev Tec cooling fan, phone power supply, DAB radio in the glovebox and underbody rust protection
- With our vendor for seven years and used as intended including a 3,500 mile European tour in Autumn 2018, as a wedding car in 2020 and otherwise garaged in Cornwall since
- Fitted with a towbar/bracket to support a bicycle rack
- It was delivered to our pre-auction storage facility by our vendor who drove 300 miles from Cornwall for nine hours overnight - now that's confidence
- Beautifully presented in Porcelain Green over a superb tan leather interior, we encourage your inspection of this very special Minor soft-top at our NEC Sale
