SUMMARY

Charismatic little Surf Blue Mini, re-shelled and fitted with a 998cc Cooper engine. Offered without Reserve.

DESCRIPTION

  • Little is known about this Mini's early life although, in 2000, it is believed to have been sent to Mini Magic in York for a full rebuild including shell (quote in file)
  • Their quote (25/09/2000) discussed the use of a reconditioned 'shell and doors and boot' and 'the engine out of a 1990 car which has covered 41,000 miles', assumed to be a 998cc unit from the Mini 1000 (99H)
  • Additional work (2001) included a new rear subframe and radius arms, brakes including brake pipes and handbrake cables, front subframe sandblasted and powder coated, new CV joints, wheel bearings, discs and pads etc.
  • Refinished in Surf Blue with an Old English White roof and all chrome was replaced
  • The interior was fitted with new Island Blue leather with cream piping, matching dark blue carpets and a wooden dash with three white dials
  • Supplied with restoration details, invoices, photos, previous MOTs, original Rover handbooks, and an Autobook workshop manual
  • We encourage any interested parties to view this little Mini and decide for themselves just how much work will be required to return it to top form
