Technically, one might refer to this restored 1963 Capri as a 'Resto-Mod' but it's so much better than that.
DESCRIPTION
- The Consul Capri was the two-door version of the Ford Classic, designed to take Ford in to the 1960s. Manufactured in small numbers at the time, there are now very few left
- Its stylish looks featured thin roof pillars and the B-pillars were dispensed with in favour of fully opening side windows
- This delightful example has been taken to the next level and the effect is rather impressive
- The car's distinctive looks have been enhanced by a deep coat of metallic British Racing Racing Green, fresh brightwork and a set of substantial Minilite-style alloys
- The interior has been re-imagined with a bespoke dashboard, new bucket seats, Alcantara panels, a Moto-Lita wheel and a discreetly fitted Kenwood sound system and speakers
- Motivation comes from a 2-litre Pinto through a five-speed gearbox
- The overall effect is very pleasing and, whilst it may not suit Ford purists, we think it's rather cool
