SUMMARY
Classic IIA that's been well maintained and sympathetically refreshed, not over-restored, just right.
DESCRIPTION
- The Series IIA revised version of the Land Rover made its debut in 1961 and is regarded by many Land Rover aficionados as the version that Rover got right, beings generally thought of as the most durable and easily repairable of the Series Land Rovers.
- Although very similar, it had a number of updates over its predecessor, including improved seating and larger windows
- After the first 1,500 were produced, the IIA was powered by the ubiquitous 2.25-litre four-cylinder engine generating 72bhp and 114lb/ft of torque
- DFH 375A was purchased by our vendor in 2017 from a gentleman who had owned the vehicle since 2009 and he has continued its regular maintenance and dry storage
- It has obviously benefited from much restoration in the past and the Bronze Green paintwork exhibits a depth of shine not normally associated with 1960s Land Rovers. It's fitted with a full hard top and the interior is very tidy with a black rubber checker-plate rear floor and black vinyl seating
- Today, the 1963 Land Rover Series IIA is a sought after classic car and is highly prized by collectors and enthusiasts for its rugged charm and timeless design.
