This car was purchased new in May 1963, by K. Spicer (who worked at Triumph) through the staff purchase scheme for his brother-in-law, Ken Daley. He owned the car until 1987 when it was purchased by John Atkins and then developed to full works homologation specification by Chestnut House Sports Cars, in readiness for the Pirelli Classic Marathons in which it competed in 1989, 1990 and 1991.

The car achieved 3 Alpine Cups and 1 Gold Cup and Team award before being sold to Rikki Proffitt of Wales, who continued to successfully rally the car. The car was subsequently bought by John Albiston and has been used for local rallies and speed hillclimb events since 2006.The car has been featured in various magazines and there is an extensive archive file supplied with the car.

What a superb, former "cover star"- and the perfect machine to take to the stages in.
