1964 Lotus Elan S1

Offered here is a beautiful Series 1 Elan first registered on 4th March 1964 and supplied new by John Bosomworth (Skipton) Ltd, finished in Cirrus White with black vinyl seats and matching black hood. The Elan had been enjoyed over the years by several enthusiast owners, all local to the West Yorkshire area, before more recently being subject to a complete, ground-up, superbly detailed restoration which included a new chassis, the original matching numbers engine and gearbox professionally rebuilt, the car painstakingly re-assembled and finally finished in the correct original colour of Cirrus White.

There are two large files of history with the car and in addition to lots of photographs covering the whole restoration process, there is a pile of invoices which detail the car's restoration down to the last washer. Also included in the documentation is the original buff logbook, old MOTs, tax discs, ownership history, images from the discovery of the Lotus to work-in-progress, a Valuation Certificate from the Lotus Owners Club (£60,000 in 2020) and the current V5C ready for export or transfer.
