SUMMARY

Essentially a TR3 in a 'party frock', Michelotti's pretty design has proved timeless.

DESCRIPTION

  • Entering production in 1961, the new TR4 was a wonderful mix of British brawn and Italian style
  • Sharp new bodywork did away with the TR3's cutaway doors to allow for wind-down windows
  • The torquey four-cylinder, twin-carb TR3 engine was enlarged to 2,138cc and mated to an all-synchro 4-speed gearbox
  • This smart example is finished in British Racing Green with silver Minilites
  • Fully retrimmed Tan interior with a Moto-Lita woodrim and matching tonneau cover
  • Accompanied by a history file documenting some of the maintenance over the years and its Heritage Trust certificate confirming that this is an original right hand drive
  • The epitome of 1960s British sports car motoring, this honest and usable TR4 would be welcome anywhere
