DESCRIPTION

  • First registered in 1964, this UK-supplied, right-hand drive, large window, Type 2 Split Screen has been single family-owned since new, with just 72,355 miles in that time
  • The correct colours for 1964 were Beige Grey over Sealing Wax Red. Fitted with a roof rack and ' candy stripe' pop up roof 
  • The rear is original consisting of cooking facilities in the door, seating which can be converted to a bed as well as a pop up bed in the roof
  • Resprayed beige over dark green in 1973, the vehicle reverted to its original colours in 2011 after spending some years off the road
  • At the same time, the engine was rebuilt and other mechanical aspects recommissioned
  • Supplied with an impressive history file dating back to the 1960s including previous MOTs, original buff logbook, ration book and more
  • Rarely do such special, low-ownership, low-mileage examples of the much-loved 'Splitty' come to the open market

Due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the WEC by 1pm on Monday 9th therefore any motor vehicles not collected by this time will be taken to our transport partners storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 plus VAT for a standard size vehicle or £275 plus VAT for a large vehicle (transit van/campervan etc.). Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day.
