1965 Ford Mustang 289 cu.in Coupe Auto

The Mustang was a defining motorcar for Ford and an iconic symbol of the 'American Dream'. With its stunning looks, it has become one of the greatest American cars of all time. Launched at the New York Worlds Fair on April 17th, 1964, Ford secured over 22,000 orders on the first day. It fulfilled many criterias for the new consumers; sporty looks, factory options, economy but with performance alternatives with the V8 engines. Many of the new owners reported to 'Finding the Fountain of Youth' in a sports car! Ford, not surprisingly, revelled in the accolades and acknowledged a design masterpiece.

Offered here is a very original 1965 Ford Mustang that retains all of its period looks. Finished in blue metallic with blue interior which is remarkably period. The overall condition is commensurate of a dry state car. Our vendor purchased the Mustang when it was imported into the UK in 2006 and has cherished it since. The comprehensive history file contains many invoices, mainly with work conducted by Jack Mahon Automotive of Van Nuys California. The history file contains an owners' manual and photographs whilst in America. MoT'd until July 2015.

These early Mustangs have the purest look and this example has a definite charm. She represents a great opportunity to own an American icon at entry level.
