A superb, show-winning example of the Vanden Plas Princess 4-Litre R, an older restoration that remains in great condition.
DESCRIPTION
- The VP 4-Litre Princess was a result of a collaboration between Rolls-Royce and BMC to take on the luxury market and specifically, the Jaguar Mk X
- It utilised a modified Farina A110 bodyshell fitted with a 175bhp Rolls-Royce FB60 straight-six, offering a top speed of 112mph - power and poise personified
- This fantastic example was built at the Morris factory and subsequently trimmed by Vanden Plas prior to despatch on 27/08/1965
- Acquired by our vendor's late father around seven years ago, having previously been restored to a very high standard back around 2000/2001 by renowned specialist, Mick Dearing in Lincolnshire
- Finished in Sherwood Green over Grey-Green leather and now sits on 14" wheels
- This show-winning car is surely one of the very best remaining and has been in regular use for shows and leisurely Sundays until very recently
- Supplied with its original handbook, sales brochure, radio handbook, service book, original registration book, Smiths clock leaflet, seatbelt user instructions, photos of restoration, email correspondence of work done, and instructions for the cooling fan
- Given recent results for the best examples offered at sale within the last few years, this car appears to be guided very sensibly and presents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a true British Classic that is unlikely to be matched

Interior is a used classic with a pattina of its age. There has been a repair at some point on the passenger seat and a small (50p size) hole in the rear armrest. Rear seat back tables in good. Headlining was replaced April 23 by Steve Summers in Malvern.

Full restoration in 2000/2001 by vanden plas specialist Mick Dearing in Lincolnshire including respray, new brakes, new wheels (metric) new exhaust, electric cooling fan, electronic ignition,overhaul of power steering box, overhauled dynamo, new fuel pump, overhaul of brakes Inc copper lines and reconditioned servo.

Due to venue restrictions, all vehicles must be collected on Monday 25th March between 9am and 2pm.
Any vehicles not collected by this time will be transported to a secure storage facility in Northampton by our transport partner EM Rogers, the charges for which are £175 plus VAT for removal and £10 plus VAT per day for storage. We will make contact on Sunday to confirm how you will be removing your vehicle(s). If we do not hear back by 9am on Monday morning, we will arrange collection with EM Rogers on your behalf.
