1967 Chevrolet Camaro Racing Saloon

This car was built in the mid 90s for former Touring car winner, Pete Hall, on a 'no expense spared' basis, by legendary Touring car team Andy Rouse Engineering. It was built specifically to run in the popular ICS Championship, which supported the BTCC, and was an immediate front runner, with many outright wins to its credit.

It also ran in the Classic Thunder Series between 1998 and 2001, again accumulating many outright victories and lap records.

From 2002, the car competed in the Heritage GT Challenge against Aston Martins, Camaros, Mustangs, Falcons E-Types etc., once again totally dominating the series with many more outright wins, lap records and awards achieved by Pete Hall and the greatest touring car driver of them all - Andy Rouse.

The car features a Mathwall 600 horse power 6-litre engine and a Jerico 4 speed gearbox which has proved a highly reliable package and the car has never suffered any accident damage. It is currently finished in the livery of the original Brian Muir 'Wiggins Teape' Camaro as a mark of respect to that era.

Coming with a host of spares, including 4 sets of racing wheels, spare Jerico box, spare LSD, half shafts,spoiler, engine and suspension parts too numerous to mention. Today it is eligible for the HGTCC, AM Intermarque, Classic Thunder and other modified saloon series, including Group 2 Touring car races by invitation. The car could also easily be modified to become an ultimate Group 2 Touring Car.

It represents the last of the 'real' Touring cars, and is, perhaps, a refreshing alternative to the modern front wheel drive 300 horse power shopping cars that are the Touring Cars of today.
