SUMMARY
A smart UK-supplied example of Honda's third-generation S-Type 'rev-for-ever' coupé with just two previous keepers and an extensive history.
DESCRIPTION
- A technological marvel from the days when engineers, not accountants, made the decisions
- Remarkable numbers: four-cylinders, 791cc, 70bhp, 9,000rpm, 790kg and 100mph
- UK buyers of the S800 benefitted from a conventional final drive with a prop-shaft and coil-sprung live rear axle rather than the chain-drive of the early cars
- This UK-supplied right-hand drive Mk1 S800 has had just two previous keepers and was subject to a restoration back in the 1980/90s
- Freshly painted again in 2023 in its original factory silver which looks slightly blue in direct sunlight. A lot of the brightwork was re-chromed at the time and additional work included a mechanical refresh (all detailed in the condition report)
- Supplied with a large file of history provided by its previous keepers, including invoices and earlier MOTs and tax discs along with photographic evidence of the earlier restoration and recent refresh
- S800s rarely come to market and this delightful example needs to find a new home with an enthusiast who will quickly have to get used to the attention generated by these remarkable little 1960s sports cars

Remarks
Cosmetically this is a very nice car thanks to a recent respray back to its original factory silver which is a truly incredible colour that looks slightly blue in direct sunlight, during the respray it was made sure all the factory join lines and spot welds are still visible, something most overlook when painting one of these. The chrome again is very nice thanks to any parts needing it getting re chromed including the front grill.

Remarks
Inside the car again is in nice condition, the seats have minor wear but I requested just to have the foam done to keep the correct look which is something I personally prefer from a classic car as so many people over restore interior of cars. The carpets are good, headliner is original and in fair but not perfect condition. The car has a factory fitted radio but also comes with the blanking plate if needed. Steering wheel wise you will find the smaller moto-lita fitted which has enhanced the cockpit room massively, this car surprised me with the sheer amount of room in it, at over 6ft tall I don't struggle fitting in or driving it

Remarks
The car runs, drives and stops very well, I love how these engine rev! There is something special about high revving engines in small cars. The feel behind the wheel of one of these is like nothing else, it's such a light nimble car with the ideal amount of power for the size of it.

Remarks
The sound of both the intake and the exhaust are truly intoxicating, on the subject of the exhaust this car has a stainless manifold and modified rear sections to enhance the sound slightly. Clutch and brake master cylinders are both of recent rebuild along with a recent carb clean and rebuild
