Low ownership with lots of history, this is an excellent example of Velocette's most sought after modern classic.
DESCRIPTION
- Velocette offered a high-performance cylinder head for the Venom in 1965 and a bike so equipped won the 800-mile Thruxton road race, hence the name of the subsequent model
- This example was despatched from the factory on 28/02/1966 to dealer Comerfords of Thames Ditton
- The frame, #RS19324, is a factory replacement fitted in June 1967 by Velocette Dealer, Geoff Dodkin of London
- Upgraded in period with a Dodkin alloy top yoke and Tickle front brake
- Engine number VMT 310 and Gearbox 12-11888 confirmed as original by the Velocette Register
- Low ownership and one of the most sought after post-war Velocettes with a good history file
- Very expensive in the day and the big Brit single of choice for a few select wealthy connoisseurs
