We're very pleased to offer this race-prepared 1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV with claims for Italian FIA conformity and present it to the market as an economic and low-risk entry to historic motorsport. Whether you're a novice driver or veteran of the grid, there's no better historic race car than that with the Alfa Romeo pedigree. Finished to a seemingly high standard and having been breathed upon and prepared by Sergio Lazzari of Alfa Therapy in Rome, this car is even accompanied by an Italian CSAI Passaporto Tecnico, which we understand is recognised as a European version of the HTP papers we would recognise in the UK. We do strongly encourage all interested parties to clarify the eligibility of the car at certain events before bidding please, as regulations do change.Finished in Orca Yellow and hailing from Italy, it is of course in lefthand drive guise, the car sits at a great height and looks purposeful even when motionless. Specification includes: monocoque chassis; independent front suspension with coil springs and telescopic dampers; rigid axle rear suspension, again with coil springs and telescopic dampers; non-adjustable roll-bar; period correct engine with reputed 1779 cylinder capacity; Weber type 40 carburettors; electric fuel pump; wet-sump lubrication; five gears; rear-wheel drive and limited slip differential; front and rear disc brakes; worm and roller steering and alloy GTA-style wheels.Unproven in the hands of our vendor, we regret we cannot provide any dyno reports for the engine. However, it is reasonably safe to assume that given the Alfa Therapy involvement and the car's claims for HTP equivalent papers (and even unstamped Period G FIA papers), this is a good car in the right hands.
