SUMMARY
An attractive example of the final development of the Mk2 in arguably the best colour combination.
DESCRIPTION
- The final development of the Mk2, the 240/340 range was introduced in September 1967 with the 240 still available until early 1969
- Differences from the Mk2 were mainly cosmetic with reshaped rear bodywork, slimmer bumpers and Ambla upholstery
- The 240 engine now had a straight-port cylinder head, twin HS6 SU carburettors and offered 133bhp at 5,500rpm and 100mph
- This UK-delivered, right-hand drive example is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue with a delightful red leather interior
- Subject of an older restoration, however still presenting well and was a trophy winner not long ago
- Just 20,000 miles since its restoration, supported by a good history file
- Just six keepers in total and has been with its current custodian for the last two years
- Guided very sensibly, this lovely old Jaguar would make a great entry-level classic
