SUMMARY
A partly finished restoration of a very rare, early Jensen FF with some of the work completed.
DESCRIPTION
- One of only 327 FFs (Ferguson Formula) produced with less than 50 remaining in the UK
- FF stood for Ferguson Formula, the four-wheel drive system developed by Harry Ferguson that split the torque unequally between the front and rear wheels resulting in sure-footed and excellent handling, especially for such a big GT
- This, combined with Dunlop Maxaret anti-lock braking, another first, led pundits to call the FF the 'World's Safest Car'
- #119/078 is well known in the Jensen community, having been featured in the The Jensen FF -320 Short Stories. Volume I
- Originally delivered to Wilmslow Garage in 1968, this Mk I spent its early years on the road in Lancaster with a great history file up until 1972
- By 1990, it was in poor condition and a restoration commenced, utilising parts from a donor car #119/169, however the project has now stalled
- We are told (but can't confirm) that the car is complete and interested parties are invited to pursue that further through our consignor
- A great opportunity to own a piece of British motoring history that, when finished, would make a fine addition to any collection featuring landmark classics
