DESCRIPTION
- According to the accompanying BMIHT factory records this venerable Land Rover is a Series IIA, 88" fitted with a 2-litre petrol engine, completed on 13/12/1968 and despatched to a LR Dealer in Wolverhampton
- It's now fitted with a TDI 200 (2.5-litre/ 52.3cu.in) diesel engine that was used in the Defenders in the 1990s
- Further improvements/upgrades include a galvanised chassis, modified Defender front doors, parabolic springs, front free-wheeling hubs, upgraded front disc brakes and deluxe seats and seatbelts for seven people
- All the sidelights, brake lights and indicators have been replaced with LED bulbs with new indicator relays including one for hazard flashing lights
- Additionally there are USB-style and traditional 12v power connectors on the dashboard for SatNav and other devices and a small discreet reversing camera
- All the benefits of a 1960s Land Rover without the old slow engine, hard suspension, challenging brakes and it has the basic mod cons to make it an easier and more enjoyable driving experience

The vehicle lets you experience a vintage Land Rover but without the extremes of the old slow engine, very hard suspension, challenging brakes and it has the basic mod cons to make it an easier and more enjoyable experience. It comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage document called a “Certified copy of a factory record” stating the car was originally built on 13 December 1968 and first sold through a dealer in Wolverhampton. Does not require an MOT and no vehicle tax is payable but it does have a current/recent MOT.

Due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the WEC by 1pm on Monday 9th therefore any motor vehicles not collected by this time will be taken to our transport partners storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 plus VAT for a standard size vehicle or £275 plus VAT for a large vehicle (transit van/campervan etc.). Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day.
