SUMMARY

An absolutely stunning full restoration of a Cypriot Guard Land Rover Lightweight.

DESCRIPTION

  • Sufficiently stripped down to enable it to be carried by helicopter (in theory), the Land Rover Series IIA - Lightweight began series production in November 1968
  • It's believed that this particular example was originally used by the British Army and was acquired by the Cypriot National Guard when it was disposed of locally in Cyprus in 1978. It was subsequently converted to carry a 106mm Recoilless Rifle
  • It's one of four that found their way back to the UK and this particular one has been restored with complete originality and accuracy in mind. It will be accompanied by a Heritage Certificate from the Military Vehicle Trust and a few pics from its time in Cyprus
  • The quality of the restoration work is exceptional, as if it was fresh off the boat in Nicosia
  • If you are interested in rare Military Vehicles this may well appeal
