SUMMARY

A very early, pre-'Beauty-pack' T150 Trident triple that's very sensibly guided.

DESCRIPTION

  • The 740cc, 3-cylinder Trident, can lay a strong claim to being the first mass-produced superbike, predating the bigger Honda 750 Four
  • This smart example is from the 1st year and probably the first month of production and has a very early frame number
  • It's a matching numbers, USA import but is now UK-registered on a V5C
  • Older restoration that requires some minor completion that continues to look good in Aquamarine Blue with that distinctive 'Ray Gun' exhaust and original Dunlop rims
  • Part of a private collection and dry-stored indoors for last few years
  • The Ogle-designed 'rectangular' bodywork was effectively a 'one-year only' look so these early bikes are becoming very collectable
  • Whilst asking prices for the well-established twins continue ever upwards, Tridents (and Rocket 3s) represent the great bargains of classic British biking.
  • Complete with its original painted mud guards
