SUMMARY

DESCRIPTION

In the late sixties several police forces felt it was necessary to use 'fire to fight fire' and ran fleets of Coopers to keep up with the wayward public
This car is one of those, allocated as a batch of about 20 to the Liverpool and Bootle police force all with SKD registration numbers
SKD 200g is the first in the series
Originally in a very bright 'Police White' it now presents well in Snowberry White with a black roof as per the standard 'S'
It has its original bodyshell with the hole in the roof for the blues and twos evident under the paint. It also has all the holes in the dash shelf for the radio gear
In 2022, it benefitted from a full engine rebuild, with the original strengthened block at 'first oversize', a new EN40B Walford crankshaft along with a full balance and every required item in both the engine and gearbox. All the machining and preparation was carried out at marque specialist, SH Engineering, well known for their very successful Mini Challenge and historic racing engines
Police vehicles replaced the Dynamo with an Alternator as is the case here
From very long-term ownership and supplied with its Heritage Certificate showing it to be a matching-numbers car, with just three keepers in total on the V5
With only 2 or 3 of these left, this is a rare opportunity

If we do not hear back from you by 5pm on Sunday evening, we will arrange collection with EM Rogers on your behalf.
