One of only 70 dating from 1969, this immaculate US-only model would be welcome in any collection of rare BMWs.

DESCRIPTION

With sales declining in Europe, BMW shifted its focus to the booming US market, and for the 1968 and 1969 model years it offered the U.S. its own designated R50US, R60US and R69US models
In production for less than three years, a total of 401 R50US bikes found homes in the States
They were fitted with US telescopic front forks, high handlebars, large sport tank and a rear luggage rack
This 1969 example is a matching numbers bike recently imported from the USA
It's been fitted with a Denfeld solo saddle (factory option), Magura bars and a twin leading shoe front brake
In fine condition all round and supplied with its tool kit, keys and a UK V5C
