DESCRIPTION
- Designed as an all-round sports machine, the Lightning was built between 1965 and 1972
- Aimed mainly at the US-market with a top speed of 108mph
- This actual bike was offered for sale at the very first Silverstone Auctions sale in 2011 at Silverstone Circuit
- Presented in good overall condition and in running order
- Built at great expense by an aircraft engineer between 1998 and 2006
- Engine rebuilt by SRM and fitted in a 'café racer'-style frame with light cowl and race seat
- Nut and bolt extensive build including, at the time, new carbs, Dunstall-style exhausts and Hagon shocks
- Other features include twin leading-shoe front brake, Morad alloy rims, Pazon electric ignition and new wiring loom
- Large history file containing build photographs, numerous receipts, old MOTs and other associated paperwork
- Great example of this period style custom racer that is perfect for 'bar hopping' or track parades
- UK-registered on a current V5C

Due to venue restrictions, all vehicles must be collected on Monday 26th August between 9am and 2pm.
Any vehicles not collected by this time will be transported to a secure storage facility in Northampton by our transport partner Moving Motorcycles for £125 plus VAT (includes 3 days storage). Storage thereafter is £10 plus VAT per day. We will make contact on Sunday to confirm how you will be removing your vehicle(s). If we do not hear back from you by 9am on Monday morning, we will arrange collection with Moving Motorcycles on your behalf.
