DESCRIPTION

The Chevrolet Corvette is an iconic American car, it has now been in production for over seven generations with enormous pedigree and style. The very popular C3 version was produced between 1968 and 1982 and it is perhaps the 'Stingray' shape, introduced in 1969, that people most commonly think of when recalling the American classic to mind.

This car was produced in 1969 and the customer of the day was faced with an extensive range of factory options, this resulted in two cars rarely ending up in the same specification. On the 10th June 1969 this car was built with some of the most desirable options on offer, including the 'L46' High Performance 'Turbojet' version of the 350ci (5.7 litre) engine, which gave 350bhp.

Further options included code M/21- a close ratio manual gearbox, code G/81- a 3.7 ratio 'Positrack' limited slip differential, code J/50- power assisted steering, an AM/FM stereo radio, an audio alarm and whitewall tyres.

The car was further specified as a full convertible, not a Targa top, and finished in Riverside Gold (one of only 872 that year), with a black factory detachable hard-top, still present today.

The car was restored in 2003 with a full body-off restoration and then became part of a private American collection, since then it has covered no more than a 1000 miles.

Recently imported in to the UK with all taxes paid, it is offered with a UK V5C, 12 months MOT, a framed copy of the original order form and a reprinted Corvette owners manual. Coming to the sale with a fresh MOT and a recent service which included the fitting of a new clutch, alternator belt and battery.(There is a bill in the history file from Classic World Racing in Redditch for £2,139, dated June 2013)

Great value and huge fun to drive! Now ready to go....
