SUMMARY
A really lovely Series 2 Roadster, restored some years ago and remains superbly presented.
DESCRIPTION
Finished in Regency Red with a black hide interior and a black hood, this delightful Series 2 E-Type Roadster (OTS) was originally delivered to the USA in 1969, where it enjoyed its earlier years as intended, before it returned to the UK in 2014. It is understood that a comprehensive restoration was carried out in the early 1990s in the US, including a complete body refurbishment, comprehensive engine and drivetrain rebuild, a complete suspension and steering overhaul and a full retrim, all of which remain in outstanding condition to this very day.
It's accompanied by a comprehensive history file which includes a photographic record of the rebuild amongst other invoices, bills and associated paperwork. In more recent years, the Jaguar has been converted to right-hand drive and maintained as required, regardless of cost, and is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
Series 2 cars are recognised as being more usable than the earlier cars, with a better gearbox, cooling and brakes. Really well-presented, this particular Jaguar offers an exciting opportunity for those wanting the full enjoyment of sportscar motoring that only a quality E-Type can provide. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged.
