SUMMARY
Carefully prepared for Club competitions and fast road work, this S2 fixed-head really looks the part.
DESCRIPTION
Finished in the style of many early competition E-Types, this particular Series 2 Fixed Head Coupé was originally produced in 1970 and first registered in Cromwell, Connecticut, USA where it lived out its early years before being converted to a more interesting fast road specification in 2007, much of which is retained to this day. Finished from new in white, enhanced these days by twin light blue stripes, it was fitted with an earlier Series I bonnet arrangement and Minilite-style alloy wheels to complete the overall appearance prior to its arrival in the UK in 2011.
Later works were carried out by The Carriage Company in 2016, including a complete engine rebuild with power improved by the addition of triple Webers and a free-flow manifold and exhaust. Further upgrades include an Alloy radiator, uprated cooling, Wilwood brakes, adjustable shock absorbers, a foam-filled fuel tank sitting alongside the required roll-cage and Monaco Pro competition seats with TRS harnesses.
Having formed part of a small private Collection in recent years, use has been minimally of late, however the Jaguar has been maintained as required and is ready to be enjoyed as intended by its next custodian. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged.
