  • This rather special 1970 MG B was despatched to its first owner in St Heliers in Jersey before returning to the UK in 1990
  • It was subject to a careful restoration with an engine and gearbox rebuild in 2008 and refinished in a very attractive shade of Oxford Blue with a delightful Biscuit leather and Burr Walnut interior
  • The MG has been extensively upgraded including hydraulic power steering, MGOC Evolution 3 front suspension, Parabolic rear SPAX Krypton adjustable dampers, vented front discs, High-Torque starter motor, alloy radiator, high-speed cooling fan, stainless steel sports exhaust, LED lighting, Quadoptic headlights and much more
  • All the usual desirable MG B features - overdrive, wire wheels, chrome luggage rack, alloy rocker cover and chrome pancakes

Full restoration completed in 2008 Paintwork is very presentable it does have some expected age related marks. Just two tiny rust marks. All panels fit lovely, the sills, seams and all four arches near perfect! Extremely good brightwork overall better than average. 2015 Brand New windscreen also Stainless Steel Sports Exhaust System, front vented disc brakes

Extremely clean engine bay, painted areas have been regularly cleaned and polished. Engine is very strong, good oil pressure, runs smooth and quiet. Recent spark plugs, starts on the button High Torque Starter motor fitted. Alloy radiator and additional high speed cooling fan. Genuine SU Chrome Air filters, upgraded heater.

Lots of MGOC Workshop upgrades which include all lights are bright LED’s the wiring is neat and tidy. The headlights are Quadoptic much improved for safety. Includes high level brake light, all of these can be removed and replaced with original if required.

Vehicle History

Remarks

A much loved MGB thousands spent over the years it has ventured on many European Classic Car Rallies. Thoroughly enjoyed and driven there is a comprehensive history file a lot of the more recent work completed by MGOC in Cambridge. Fascinating it started life in St Heliers Jersey a very special B for each owner returning to the UK in 1989 to the Posh of London, later to Scotland and more recently Cambridge. The owner in 2007 a Doctor took a no expense spared restoration which included painting the B in Oxford Blue ‘formerly Teal’ Complimentary full Biscuit and Walnut interior a lovely combination. Expensive and fabulous upgrades such as Hydraulic Power Steering, EVOLUTION 3 front suspension, Parabolic rear SPAX Krypton suspension, improved heater, HIGH TORQUE Starter Motor, Alloy radiator. And much more. A true British Sports Car beautiful colour combination Oxford Blue, Biscuit and Walnut interior, oodles of alloy. Stainless Steel Sports Exhaust sounds lovely, a throaty barble. Not concourse but extremely nice and useable.

Any vehicles not collected by this time will be transported to a secure storage facility in Northampton by our transport partner EM Rogers, the charges for which are £175 plus VAT for removal and £10 plus VAT per day for storage. We will make contact on Sunday to confirm how you will be removing your vehicle(s). If we do not hear back by 9am on Monday morning, we will arrange collection with EM Rogers on your behalf.
