SUMMARY

An attractive example of Crewe's first-generation Shadow in a very stylish colour combination.

DESCRIPTION

  • Introduced in 1965 as a replacement for the much-loved but ageing Silver Cloud III, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was a landmark vehicle in the company's history
  • It offered a stylish and more practical alternative to the Silver Cloud it replaced and, with unibody construction, hydraulically-actuated four-wheel disc brakes and four-wheel independent suspension, it was infinitely more modern and appealing to the new class of owner-driver
  • Powered by Rolls' venerable 6.75-litre V8 producing 220bhp and offering 0-60mph in 10.6 seconds and 116mph
  • First registered in 1970, this Shadow 1 appears to have undergone a restoration at some point its life
  • It's finished in Tudor Grey with twin gold coachlines and a Black Everflex roof over a St James Red leather interior with matching door cards, carpets and black top-roll punctuated by Burr Walnut trim
  • Supplied with invoices from Rolls-Royce specialists and its Rolls-Royce supplement handbook
  • The Silver Shadow is rightly coming of age as an eminently drivable car with stylish good looks and regal road presence.
