SUMMARY

Pretty MkIV upgraded to 1,500cc and finished in Citron Yellow.

DESCRIPTION

  • The new 1300cc Spitfire MkIV was restyled by Michelotti with a cut-off rear end treatment that gave it a family resemblance to the Triumph Stag
  • The front end was cleaned up and the doors were given recessed handles. The interior was also improved with a proper full-width dashboard which put the instruments ahead of the driver rather than over the centre console
  • This brightly hued example is fitted with a later 1500cc unit and an overdrive gearbox
  • Owned by a retired gentleman for around ten years during which period the brakes were rebuilt, overdrive serviced and the differential replaced
  • The car benefits from a retrimmed interior, new carpet set and mohair hood along with a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel
  • Freshly MOT valid until 10/11/2023 with no advisories and showing 80,300 miles
  • Finished in Citron Yellow, this is an ideal starter classic particularly as it's offered at Without Reserve
