SUMMARY

This smart little Chesil Speedster is based on a 1973 1300A Beetle and was finished in 2020. It has covered only 25 miles since then and has been part of a museum display since.

DESCRIPTION

  • One of the most respected builders of early Porsche replicas is Dorset-based Chesil, a company who have built a reputation for providing one of the best 356 recreations on the market
  • Available as a complete factory build or as a home-build kit, they could be tailored to the customer's requirements using whatever size of VW engine that was available and a quality GRP body, meaning that, effectively, no two are the same
  • This smart example, #CS538K, is based on a 1973 1300A Beetle and was finished in 2020. It has covered only 25 miles following completion and has been part of a museum display since
  • The car is still listed on the V5C as a 1300 Beetle and has not been subject to an IVA Test
  • The Beetle was a 'CAT D' insurance claim in 1997 which is probably academic as most of it was thrown away
  • This little Speedster is bright and fresh finished in Bespoke White with a red leather interior and red soft top. It sits on chromed America Racing-style alloys and is very well detailed throughout
  • Complete with its Chesil Motor Company body plate
