SUMMARY

A matching numbers, manual gearbox, right-hand drive S3 Roadster, just one previous UK-registered keeper since 1989, from 32 years in dry storage and presented in 'garage find' condition.

DESCRIPTION

  • According to the accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate, that confirms matching numbers, this roadster was dispatched on 15/04/1973 to Federated Motors of Singapore
  • One of just 1,872 in right-hand drive and specified with the rare manual gearbox, finished in Azure Blue. It is understood to have been coated with Ziebart protection from new
  • Although professionally repainted in Silver at some stage, the dark blue leather interior appears to be original and is topped by a matching blue hood
  • Repatriated in the late 1980s, the car was sold by Ilford Motor Carriages to the current registered keeper on 08/07/1989, as confirmed by the V5C
  • Subsequently dry-stored from 1991, the odometer reads 59,591km, or 37,028 miles, at the time of cataloguing
  • Offered as a 'garage find', the body has clearly benefited from its early life in a warm climate, subsequent dry storage and a mechanical recommissioning is naturally required
