SUMMARY
Very rare Series I 4.2-litre XJ6 in British Racing Green with a manual gearbox and overdrive.
DESCRIPTION
- Unveiled in 1968, Jaguar's XJ6 took the concept of the luxury sports saloon to another level
- The group's existing products - Jaguar Mk2, Daimler V8, S-Type and the 420G - all suddenly became irrelevant
- They were available with the XK-derived 2.8-litre or 4.2-litre, DOHC, six-cylinder engines, the latter offering 186bhp and 125mph
- This 1973 Series I 4.2-litre example is finished in British Racing Green with a matching green leather interior
- Series I cars are now very rare and manual gearbox and overdrive cars particularly so
- Believed to have been restored a few years ago and still looking in fine fettle today
- An ideal opportunity to get behind the wheel of a true classic 1970s sporting saloon
